Chocolate Mint Shakes
What!!?? A Milk shake recipe on a fitness site!!??
Let’s be honest with ourselves for a moment shall we? From time to time we all have a craving for a treat. In fact if we give ourselves treats in a controlled manner, they can actually be quite good for us since it can prevent binge eating later.
So when you’re going to treat yourself, do it wisely. Below is a recipe for a mint shake which contains fresh fruit and a little extra protein.
Chocolate Mint Shakes
3 1/2 cups quartered strawberries
2 1/4 cups nonfat milk
3/4 scoop protein powder
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 sprig fresh mint
1 ½ teaspoons sugar
Crushed ice
Place strawberries, milk, protein powder, cocoa powder, sugar substitute, and mint in a blender and pulse until smooth. Pour over crushed ice in tall glasses and serve immediately.
